Facebook / Meta App Compliance
If you signed in to HostMyEvent using Facebook, you can request deletion of all data associated with your account at any time. This page provides instructions for submitting that request.
How to Request Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your HostMyEvent account and all associated personal data using either of the following methods:
Option 1 — Email Request
Send an email to support@hostmyevent.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:
- Your full name
- The email address or Facebook account used to sign in
- A brief statement confirming you wish to delete your account and data
Option 2 — In-App Deletion
If you have access to your account, you can request deletion directly through your dashboard settings. Sign in and navigate to Account Settings → Delete Account.
What Gets Deleted
Upon processing your request, the following data associated with your account will be permanently deleted:
- Account information — your name, email address, profile data, and login credentials
- Event requests — any event requests you submitted as a Consumer
- Saved listings and favorites — venues and vendors you saved or bookmarked
- Bids and messages — bid submissions and communications made through the Platform
- Vendor/venue listings — if you are a Vendor or Venue Owner, your listings will be unpublished and your business data removed
- Payment records — your payment method data (managed by Stripe; see Stripe's Privacy Policy)
Note: We may retain anonymized, aggregated data (e.g., transaction counts) that cannot be linked back to your identity, and records required for legal or compliance purposes.
Processing Time
We will process your deletion request within 30 days of receipt. You will receive an email confirmation once your data has been deleted.
If your request requires additional verification to confirm your identity, we will contact you at the email address provided.
